Canoe and Kayak Adventures and Hire
South Coast Safaris offer half day, full day and overnight canoe and kayak Adventures that will blow you away! Some of the Rivers we utilise include the Minnamurra and Nepean Rivers both are only 30 minutes from central Wollongong and are easily accessible by road and train.
Half Day Minnamurra Package
The Minnamurra River located 15 kilometres south of Wollongong is an ideal location for a half day canoe/kayak outing. This paddle which takes in the full length of the river combines excellent scenery, mangroves and as many oysters as you can eat (if you’re keen). We provide all associated canoeing equipment and a complimentary sumptuous BBQ on completion of your journey.

Half Day/Full Day Nepean Package
The Nepean River feeds into New South Wales second largest rainfall catchment the Hawkesbury River System. South Coast Safaris offers an array of unforgettable trips on the Nepean River between Douglas Park and Penrith. Depending on your requirements and experience you can choose between a trip that lasts for approximately 2 1/2 hours to an overnight safari encompassing spectacular sandstone gorges, abundant native wildlife and the excitement of rapids.

Half Day/ Full Day Shoalhaven River Kangaroo Valley
Kangaroo Valley is located 2 hours south of Sydney and offers excellent water for all types of canoeing.
Hampden Bridge to Bendella Reserve
Your journey begins at Hampden Bridge and takes from between 2 and 3 hours. Negotiate the gentle rapids which begin almost immediately and take in the beautiful surroundings. After lunch continue paddling to Bendella Reserve where our bus will return you to your vehicles.

Bendella Reserve to Tallowa Dam
This journey begins at Bendella Reserve mid morning. Make your way down river into Moreton National Park and camp overnight. Keep an eye out for native wildlife including wombats, sea eagles and platypus. After taking a morning’s dip make your way along Lake Yarrunga to Tallowa Dam where our bus will meet you and return you to your vehicles.

Sandstone Magic
The return trip from Tallowa Dam to Fossikers Flat can be a 2 or a 3 day adventure which takes in Shoalhaven Gorge which needs to be seen to be believed. Keep an eye out for wild goats, kangaroos and eastern water dragons which are abundant throughout this area. On your return our bus will return you to your vehicles.
