Nestled between the Illawarra escarpment and the Pacific Ocean, Lake Illawarra is located some 90 kilometres south of Sydney.
The lake has an area of approximately 33 square kilometres and has a maximum depth of 3.7 metres, 13 boat ramps and is an outstanding location for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, prawning and other recreational pursuits.
Mullet creek which is a tributary of lake Illawarra is a protected and sheltered waterway that is ideal for paddlers of all levels of proficiency.
